Our entry-level freediving qualification provides divers with the training and knowledge needed to safely go out with a buddy and explore depths of up to 20 metres.
The SSI Level 1 Freediving certification includes theory (both online and in-person), two pool/confined water dives, and two open water dives.
Skills covered include:
– breathing techniques
– static apnea training
– ascent & descent techniques
– freediving specific rescue training
– body positioning
– finning techniques
– neutral buoyancy
– turns & duck dives
– buoyancy basics
– equipment care
Course Prerequisites:
– To be able to swim
– To be age 12 and over
– Medical history form
